King's Exhibit with Charlotte Russell Contemporary Gallery

Yuko Taylor

Art Ritual (April 9- May 26, 2021) is a group exhibition featuring contemporary artwork that explores the ritual of art making. Selected artists include King Nobuyoshi Godwin, Rebecca Kaufman, Kelly Sheppard Murray, Ethel Revita, Evelyn Reyes, and Joy Tirade. Using their own forms and mediums, the artworks on view create an event of seeing.

Raleigh artist King Nobuyoshi Godwin paints numbers as Monet paints dots. While at first glance, the marks simply look like lines, the marks really are numbers. In using repeated numbers he creates texture, pattern, and a larger design.

King’s biggest works are on display. This is your chance to view them in person. Enjoy!
